Blonde Ambition

Hi. There I go, going MIA once again. No excuse I just have not been feeling myself which resulted in some major bloggers block. Think it was a mix of stress, homesickness, uncertainty, and a general self reflection. You would think my brush with “celebrity” and non-celebrity I experienced at the Contender Asia would have snapped me out of it but not so much. Well I have decided to pull myself up by my bootstraps and get back into the swing of things. My life is anything but terrible and knowing that you guys are there, while I am here makes me miss you but is so comforting and wonderful at the same time. Ok I am starting to freak myself out by this post so on to other more upbeat convo….

This weekend was a great one. My friend Toby celebrated his 30th birthday and the theme of the event was “dress as what you wanted to be when you grew up”. So can you guess what I was???

I was Madonna from the Blonde Ambition tour…pointy boobs and all!! I unfortunately do not have a picture that really shows the get-up. There were many photos being taken that day so as soon as I get one I will certainly post. I did win best costume but I think that was for the mere fact that I actually walked out of the house in a shocking gold bustier and hot pants! One lesson learned…I am not meant for blonde hair!

The day was really fun. Toby rented a party bus and we did a bar crawl through Singapore. Image 40 people in various states of dress and undress walking through the airport singing happy birthday! Priceless! It was amazing to see people’s reactions to us. It was almost like being a celebrity; people would come up to us and nervously ask if they could take our picture. This happened many times throughout the day!! I just hope my blond head and pointy boobs don’t end up on the cover of some porn movie!
